There will be lots of opportunities for visits to Construction Sites and Building/Sustainable exhibitions within the region
Entry requirementsYou need at least one of the following:-
- A BTEC Level 2 Merit or Distinction Grade portfolio
- At least four GCSEs at Grades A*-C
- Equivalent qualifications will be considered
The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment is a practical work related qualification available to a wide range of students built to accommodate the needs of employers and allow progression to University. It provides a practical, real world approach to learning alongside a key theoretical background
DurationDay release – one full day and evening per week over two years
Assessment Students are continually assessed through coursework assignments
Qualification AchievedEdexcel BTEC Level 3 – Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment

Where Next?The qualification is mapped to several courses in Higher Education at the University Centre at Blackburn College. This provides an easy progression route for the subject chosen and gives you a strong foundation for degree level study.
