The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is a professional body awarding qualifications in accounting and related areas.

Prepare for a career in accounting with the AAT Fast Track Level
2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is a professional
body awarding qualifications in accounting and related areas.
This course covers the first two levels of the AAT
qualification. The AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting includes
the following units:
- Basic costing
- Computerised accounting
- Working effectively in accounting and finance
- Processing bookkeeping transactions
- Control accounts, journals and the banking system
Successful completion of the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
at the end of the first term will enable you to progress to the AAT
Level 3 Diploma in Accounting which starts in the second term.
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting includes the following units:
- Accounts preparation
- Preparing final accounts for partnerships and sole traders
- Cash management
- Providing cost and revenue information
- Preparing and completing VAT returns
- Spreadsheets
You learn by doing group work, pair work, research activities,
dummy company activities, visits and practical activities.
Successful completion gets you the first two levels of the AAT qualification. You will leave the course with skills and experience in a number of areas such as report writing, time management, team working, self-confidence, decision making, accounting and costing skills, and listening skills.
Applicants for a Level 3 programme will normally have:
• at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (including some subjects
related to the proposed area of study) and/or a completed Level 2
award
• the willingness to study for an additional Level 2 qualification
in English and/or Maths

qualifications you would like us to consider, please contact us
with your detailsApplicants will be invited to attend an interview
and complete an internal assessment. All students will have their
literacy and numeracy needs supported within the programme.
This qualification allows you to gain further qualifications
with the professional accounting bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA
and ICSA. Successful completion of this course means you will be
ready to move on to the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.
