of teaching practice with a minimum of 3 observations totaling a
minimum of 3 hours.
It is designed as a qualification which will equip a wide range of
teachers and facilitators with a "threshold licence to teach".
The course is also suitable if you are seeking career progression
within your area of work.

Entry Requirements
The qualification provides progression from theLevel 4 Award in
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector for those new to
teaching and training, or those wishing to teach or train.
Literacy and numeracy at level 2 and special knowledge
qualification of the subject to be taught.
What Next?
ATLS may be claimed through IfL on successful completion of the course.
