Nottingham Business School offers organisations the opportunity to develop their experienced managers through their accredited Management & Leadership Programmes. These are experience based programmes that develop the delegates’ real understanding of management issues and achieve organisational transformation through individual improvement and organisation based projects.

The postgraduate awards in Management and Leadership have been designed for experienced managers looking to build on their current managerial experience and academic understanding.

As a staged programme all participants can exit with a Postgraduate Certificate and / or Diploma on successful completion of the respective stages, and / or continue to complete the Masters qualification. The structure of the programme ensures that there is a suitable level for managers at different stages in their professional development.

Certificate in Management and Leadership
Designed for first-line managers, supervisors and team leaders to give them the tools and techniques to fulfil their roles more thoughtfully and effectively.

Diploma in Management and Leadership
Designed for middle managers to increase their strategic perspective and leadership skills.

MSc in Management and Leadership
Designed for experienced managers and leaders from all sectors who have achieved the Diploma in Management and Leadership.

How is the course taught?

This is a part-time programme, highly flexible in delivery and designed to keep the time staff are out of the business to a minimum. The first two stages take around 18 months with an additional year for the Masters award. The programme incorporates a mix of classroom modules delivered at Nottingham Business School, independent supported learning and work-based consultancy projects.

Module information

Each award includes a number of core modules and an optional module. The flexible structure of the programmes allows us to develop new optional modules. Participating organisations are asked to suggest areas of interest, which will be designed and developed with Nottingham Business School. Alternatively, participants may choose from modules already available.
