Programme structure
The workshops are highly participative, using facilitated discussion, presentations, case studies and group work. The workshops promote reflective review, and encourage delegates to find opportunities to apply the learning in the workplace. Delegates will complete two work-based learning assignments, which are assessed and verified by the ILM in order to achieve their accreditation.
By the end of the programme you will be able to:
- understand the impact of choosing the right leadership styles within your organisation
- review the effectiveness of your own leadership capability and performance in meeting organisational values and goals
- adopt an effective leadership style to motivate staff to achieve organisational values and goals
- understand the need for innovation and change management within an organisation
- propose innovative solutions to improve organisational performance
- lead and manage change within an organisation.
This programme will:
- investigate and review a range of leadership theories and styles and assess their relevance and impact for you to achieve the organisation's vision and goals
- explore the critical importance of the leader gaining the motivation and commitment of others
- look at the concept of emotional intelligence and how this applies to you in your role and future career aspirations
- establish the link between innovation in terms of business performance and competitive advantage
- identify the principles and practices associated with managing creativity, innovation and change
- provide personal action planning to embed and own the learning back in the workplace.
