The Hospitality sector in the UK has its own set of Occupational standards. These standards describe exactly what students need to know and what they should be able to do for every work activity carried in all units.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This is a Non-Advanced Level course suitable for people with Standard Grade, Intermediate 1 or National 4 qualifications, relevant work experience or those who have completed a related course at introductory level.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Course Assessment will include written and practical tests, case studies, multiple choice questions and the practical element is assessed by two three hour practical exams.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students successfully completing this course may be able to progress to Professional Cookery. Students may also enter employment as a commis chef.
