Students must have the following:

Five GCSEs at grades A*-C including English Language (for individual requirements for each course please see below)
Please note that as part of this core entry requirement BTECs are not accepted, however they are welcome as part of the entry profile in addition to the five GCSEs
To progress to A2 level study you need the following:

ACCOUNTING
AS Level: at least grade B in GCSE Maths

APPLIED ART & DESIGN DOUBLE AWARD
AS Level at least grade C in GCSE Art & Design
A2 Level at least grade DD in AS Applied Art and Design (Double Award)
**This programme will give you 2 Art & Design A Levels on completion and must also be taken with 2 other subjects - one of which must be dropped after year 1, advice on which other subjects to take will be given at interview**

ART & DESIGN
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE Art & Design
A2 Level: at least grade D in AS Art and Design

ART: GRAPHICS/3D DESIGN
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE Art and Design, Graphics or Design
A2 Level: at least grade D in AS Art: Graphics/3D Design

ART: TEXTILE DESIGN
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE Art & Design or Textiles
A2 Level: at least grade D in AS Art: Textile Design

BIOLOGY
AS Level: at least grade B or above in GCSE Additional Science and grade C in GCSE Maths
At least one Grade B if you have studied the 3 separate Sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) at GCSE level
BTEC and GCSE Applied Science are not accepted for entry purposes
A2 Level: at least grade E in the two AS Biology written papers

BUSINESS STUDIES
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE Maths
A2 Level: at least grade E in AS Business Studies

CHEMISTRY
AS Level: at least grade B in GCSE Additional Science. At least grade C in GCSE Maths. At least grade B in Chemistry if you have studied the three separate sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at GCSE level.
BTEC and GCSE Applied Science are not accepted for entry purposes.
You are strongly advised to study an additional Science at AS Level or Maths alongside your AS Chemistry
A2 Level: at least grade E in the two AS Chemistry written papers

COMMUNICATION & CULTURE
AS Level: at least grade C GCSE English
A2 Level: at least grade E in AS Communication and Culture

DANCE
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE English, plus an interest in dance
A2 Level: at least grade E in AS Dance
An audition/interview is required and will include a dance workshop.
Students will need to bring appropriate dance clothing for group workshops

DRAMA & THEATRE STUDIES
AS Level at least grade C in GCSE English plus an interest in drama
A2 Level: at least grade E in AS Drama and Theatre Studies
An audition /interview is required and will include the delivery of a monologue during a group workshop

ECONOMICS
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE Maths & English

AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE English

MUSIC
AS Level: at least grade C in GCSE English
Knowledge of Music Theory at ABRSM Grade 4 standard
Be able to play a musical instrument to Grade 4/5 standard
A2 Level: at least grade E in AS music
An audition and completion of a theory test are also required

PHOTOGRAPHY
AS Level: at least grade C or above in GCSE Art & Design plus an interest in photography. Applicants without this GCSE will be required to present a portfolio of 10-15 photographic images at interview stage

PHYSICS
AS Level: at least grade B in GCSE Additional Science
At least grade B in GCSE Physics if you have studied the three separate sciences ( Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at GCSE level
At least Grade B in GCSE Maths or planning to study maths at AS level
BTEC and GCSE Applied Science are not accepted for entry purposes. It is expected that you will be studying AS Maths alongside AS Physics as maths is an essential element of the physical sciences. All students will be required to take an initial maths assessment
