The purpose of work based learning is to support effective learning and development and the application of knowledge and skills within a practice setting. The focus of the module is on the direct application of learning to real work issues and problems. Work based learning involves reflection on practice; learning from the experience.
FundingIf you are employed within NHS North West and this module is to be funded by your employing Trust, please contact your Line Manager and CPD Lead for advice relating to funding and the funding application process.

Modules Level 6HLLG6047 Work Based Learning (40 credits at level 6)
HLLG6042 Work Based Learning (20 credits at level 6)
This module will allow you to study a topic which is directly related to your work. You (along with service managers and academic supervisors) negotiate the most appropriate learning outcomes and develop appropriate assessment strategies.
To study this module you will need to attend a work based learning workshop the semester before you are due to commence studying. At this workshop you will be given the opportunity to discuss your options and chosen topic with tutors.
