A great opportunity to gain this highly recognised qualification which will enable students to work within the food and catering industry. This course is aimed at updating current knowledge and skills whether this is relevant to cooking at home or in the workplace.
This course consists of the following:
- Introduction to food safety
- Cleaning & disinfection
- Food pests
- Premises & equipment
- Food safety control
This certificate is valid for 3 years and is a legal requirement for working in the food and beverage industry.
Students must:
- Be aged 19 years or over
- Have English Language and Literacy at Entry 3 or above
- Studying their first Formal First Steps (SFA) funded course for 2011/12
