French Level 2/3
The course is an ideal progression for students with a small basic knowledge of French.
This course consists of the following:
- The development of learners' speaking skills, through the study of a range of practical situations (e.g. travelling around, emergencies)
- Giving and requesting basic personal and work related information
- Exchange of views on leisure interests and matters of general interest (e.g. holidays, work)
- Study of grammatical structures suitable to this level (e.g. present, past and future tenses)
- Vocabulary building
- Pronunciation practice
- Listening comprehension development

Though chief emphasis will be on the development of speaking and
listening skills, learners will spend some time working on
different types of authentic textual material and carrying out
simple types of writing.
In class wide use will be made of the target language, and students
are encouraged to participate fully in classroom activities.
This course is designed for students with a basic knowledge of
the language - one year of part time study or equivalent.
It may also be suitable as a refresher for those with a 'rusty'
