Engineering: Electrical Engineering NC SCQF Level 6
Entrants work in laboratories/workshops with access to modern electrical equipment, e.g. motors, rectification systems and oscilloscopes. Students gain the wide range of basic skills and knowledge necessary to progress in the electrical engineering industry. The core skills of analysis/algebra, IT, problem solving and communication are included in the programme. To attain the award, students will be required to achieve a minimum of 12 credits.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The course can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis (18 months part-time). It has been designed for students with little or no previous experience of electrical engineering and is ideally suited for school leavers, apprentices and adults returning to education. We particularly welcome applications from suitably experienced mature candidates.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Previous students who have successfully completed this course have entered/continued employment as apprentices or progressed to the HNC Engineering: Electrical course.
