Who is the course for and what level is it?
This course is designed for those looking to develop their
creativity alongside others in the community.
Students that have little, or no, knowledge/skill in woodcarving,
but are keen to learn. (Entry)
Students that have carved in the past and require a refresher
course
What is your approach?
The course is predominantly a practical course. Students will be
taught through demonstration and given individual assistance and
guidance through a project based assignment. There will be some
tutor led discussion and lecturing.

What will I need?
You will have an opportunity to maintain an Individual Learning
Plan and your tutor will discuss your progress and achievement with
you throughout the course.
What will I need for the first session?
You will only need a pencil and clothes you are comfortable wearing
for practical work. You will need shoes appropriate for a workshop
environment. If you have a mallet and chisels, or can borrow some,
bring them along.

There will be no additional costs for the beginners course.
