- Team Development in the Public Services
- Physical Preparation and Fitness for the Uniformed Public Services
- International Perspectives for the Uniformed Public Services
- Outdoor and Adventurous Expeditions
- Skills for Land-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
- Skills for Water-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
- Crime and its Effects on Society
- Command and Control in the Uniformed Public Services
- Planning for and Management of Major Incidents
- Responding to Emergency Service Industries
- Uniformed Public Services Employment
- Fundamentals of Nautical Studies.
This course also includes nationally recognised additional qualifications in Sports Leadership and an opportunity to gain National Governing Body awards in Kayaking and Canoeing.
2 year course -three days per week at college. One day practical and two days of classroom and research.
You will be expected to find a work placement during the other two days whilst you are not at college.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of four GCSEs Grade A* - C including English and Maths or Level 2 Diploma at merit level. Related work experience. Interest in outdoor adventure/sport/uniformed public services. Minimum age 16.To top up to the Extended Diploma you will need to have completed the 90 Credit Diploma or the first year of a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in a relevant subject.
