Uniformed Public Services Employment
Fundamentals of Nautical Studies.
In addition you will achieve the following qualifications.
Level 2 BTEC Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator
Events
First Aid at Work
Personal Development for the Outdoor Industry
Food Hygiene Certificate
The course also includes nationally recognised additional qualifications in Sports Leadership and there will be an opportunity to gain National Governing Body Awards in Kayaking and Canoeing.
Three days per week at college
One day practical and two days of classroom and research.
You will be expected to find a work placement during the other two
days whilst you are not at college.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of four GCSEs Grade A* - C including English and Maths
or Level 2 Diploma at merit level. Related work experience.
Interest in outdoor adventure/sport/uniformed public services.
Minimum age 16.

It is recommended that applicants set aside approximately £200
for additional NGB training, off-site activities / trips and
essential kit. All Personal Protective Equipment will be
provided.
There will be additional costs for Study tours and Expeditions.
