The course provides a full introduction to working in the countryside for those seeking to retrain. This course is also the first year of a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma (CM204).

34 weeks (1 year). Lectures, practical instruction, demonstrations and visits.
Days - 4 Days a week - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (TBC)
Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at Grade C or above preferably including Maths and English or equivalent, a Level 2 Diploma at Distinction or a Level 2 Work-based Diploma.
Mature applicants who lack these qualifications will also be considered. You will need to demonstrate a keen and active interest in the countryside.
Progression/Employment
Entry into Level 3 Extended Diploma in Countryside Management. A range of land-based careers including countryside ranger or warden at a nature reserve, estate, woodland or recreational area. .Environmental education or interpretation officer or rights of way officer. Arboriculture and Woodland Management. Higher Education.
