Course Level: Level 3 Course Duration: 2 years Days at College 3-4 days Course Description

This unique and exclusive Extended Diploma in Countryside Management has been developed in collaboration with Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNP). This two year programme combines underpinning theory-based sessions with a strong focus on practical skills. Students will benefit from instruction by an experienced Dartmoor Ranger one day per month at Bicton and an additional one day per month of practical project work on site within DNPA.

Entry Requirements

It is essential that your Initial Assessment results show that you are working at Level 2. You will also need to have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A-C including English, Maths and Science or equivalent.

What Next?

Successful students will be able to develop their careers as a Countryside Ranger, in management or environmental conservation roles with a range of employers. There are also a range of career opportunities in wider industries. Successful students who wish to stay in education may progress to a Level 4 qualification such as a Foundation Degree in Environmental Education or related subject area.
