Taster Courses - Interior Design and Printmaking - Open to a wide range of students, from those with no experience to postgraduates. Past students on these courses have regularly used it as a stepping stone onto the Part-Time Foundation Course.

City & Guilds - Interiors - You will be taught how to plan and design a Kitchen/Living room or Bedroom/Bathroom. A portfolio of evidence is required for an External Moderator at the end of the course.

GCSE & GCE courses - A Levels will now be offered on an annual rotational basis with AS alternating with A2. Art and Design, Photography and Life Drawing.

Certificate in Art & Design - A mini foundation course designed to help you build a Portfolio. The course is for more mature students who would like to gain access onto the Art & Design A Level or one of our full time courses. You will be taught by members of our full-time staff and will receive a taste of all areas, fashion, textiles, graphics, 3D, ceramics, fine art & photography. The evening class will be supplemented by a day trip to galleries and exhibitions.

Access to Higher Education - an interview with Ian Coulson is required prior to enrolment on these courses. The primary aim of the Level 4 Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design) is to educate students to make informed decisions, which will facilitate their progression (primarily, but not exclusively) to appropriate higher education in art and design. The Course builds on the students' prior experiences. Skills already acquired are linked with ideas and challenges, which extend critical independence and enable you to demonstrate a full understanding of the application of art and design, relevant to progression opportunities and career choice.
