Formal assessment is through assignments, projects, presentations and practical assessments which are set at regular intervals throughout the course. You receive regular feedback. The functional skills are assessed by an external exam and portfolio work.

You will learn the knowledge elements of the award through directed study and one-to-one drop-ins with your assessor, which will include practical sessions. You will also work on your functional skills, ERR and personal learning and thinking skills.

You gain the skills and experience needed to begin a successful career within sales, while at the same time obtaining a nationally-recognised qualification.

You also gain valuable transferable skills such as the ability to sell yourself and your ideas, build working relationships, and think independently.

You need to have either completed the intermediate apprenticeship in sales or have demonstrable experience within the sales sector.

Upon submitting your application form you will be invited in for interview and an initial assessment to ensure that you are at the right level of learning for the course, and that the apprenticeship is right for you.

The advanced apprenticeship in sales will allow you to go on and work in a range of sectors, taking on more advanced roles such as team leading, and earning higher rates of commission.

Job roles that you may consider include sales consultant, sales manager and telesales professional.
