The advanced level apprenticeship in sales is made up of several
elements:
- Competency-based qualification (NVQ Level 3)
- Knowledge-based qualification
- Functional skills in English and Maths Level 2
- Employer rights and responsibilities (ERR)
- Personal learning and thinking skills
Formal assessment is through assignments, projects, presentations
and practical assessments which are set at regular intervals
throughout the course. You receive regular feedback. The functional
skills are assessed by an external exam and portfolio work.
You will learn the knowledge elements of the award through directed
study and one-to-one drop-ins with your assessor, which will
include practical sessions. You will also work on your functional
skills, ERR and personal learning and thinking skills.
You gain the skills and experience needed to begin a successful
career within sales, while at the same time obtaining a
nationally-recognised qualification.
You also gain valuable transferable skills such as the ability to
sell yourself and your ideas, build working relationships, and
think independently.
You need to have either completed the intermediate
apprenticeship in sales or have demonstrable experience within the
sales sector.
Upon submitting your application form you will be invited in for
interview and an initial assessment to ensure that you are at the
right level of learning for the course, and that the apprenticeship
is right for you.
The advanced apprenticeship in sales will allow you to go on and
work in a range of sectors, taking on more advanced roles such as
team leading, and earning higher rates of commission.
Job roles that you may consider include sales consultant, sales
manager and telesales professional.
