About This Course:This course offers a combination of practical and theoretical units on the Construction Industry. You will experience 2-4 weeks training in the various trades and have the opportunity to develop transferable skills which are important if you want to gain employment within the Construction Industry.
What You Need:- One Standard Grade at General Level, preferably English, Mathematics, Science or equivalent.
- Personal experience.
- You should be interested in Construction and be able to demonstrate this both in the application process and the pre-entry guidance sessions which you will be required to attend.

What You Study:You’ll get an introduction to hands-on skills in our workshop including: Wall and Floor Tiling, Plastering, and Carpentry & Joinery. You will also study Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Numeracy, Communication and Construction Occupational Practices.
After The Course:Career
On successful completion of the course you will be in a better position to find employment within the Construction Industry.
Continuing study
There may also be the opportunity to progress onto other National Qualification courses.
How Long:This course runs twice a year:
August - December and January - June.
