Full Description:Course Description:
The Society, Health and Development Foundation Diploma covers some of the most vital sectors in the UK, including community justice, healthcare and the NHS, social care and working with children. If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference to people’s lives, you will find plenty of opportunities here. The Foundation Diploma introduces you to the core subjects covering health, social care, the children’s workforce and community justice. You will learn how an organisation can apply their values in their work and how the different services work together. You will also learn various ways of informing the general public about issues that concern them. The Diploma will help you learn the personal skills that are important to work successfully in these areas, such as team-working, problem solving and good communication skills. You will get the chance to learn in different settings, work with your fellow students and during the course you will also be able to do at least ten days work experience, which is a great way to apply what you have learnt in a working environment.
