This is an advanced level programme that prepares you for progression to managing or setting up your own businesses, working for health farms, spas or cruise liners or for progression to higher education (it carries UCAS points equivalent to one A Level grade) and teaching beauty therapy. An intensive course of study in all advanced aspects of beauty therapy including a blend of both practical and theoretical skills and knowledge of body massage; facial electro therapy; body electro therapy; self tanning; starting a small business; selling products and services; client care and business practises and procedures. The programme will normally offer the opportunity to study additional qualifications that will enhance job opportunities.
The Programme Content
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Science or a Level 2 Beauty qualification at Merit or Distinction level and attendance of over 85%.
Costs
Salon uniform, personal equipment and set books will cost approximately £100. Further costs will be incurred for optional educational visits and similar activities. It is possible that you may be eligible for assistance with costs, this can be discussed with our Guidance Centre staff.
