• Electrical Installations
• Electrical & Electronic Principles
• Principles & Applications of Electronic Devices & Circuits (Electronics)
• Selection & using Programmable Controllers. Year Two
• Three Phase Systems
• Three Phase Motors and Drives
• Engineering Project
• Electronic Circuit Manufacture
• Communications for Technicians.

Assessment Method

The topic areas will be assessed using written and practical assignments and phase tests.

Progression

After successful completion of this course you may progress onto the HNC Electrical \Electronic Engineering course.

Additional Information

This is a Full Level 3 course, and students aged 19+ that do not already have a Level 3 qualification may be entitled to free tuition (although registration fees will still apply) - please contact College on 01476 400250 for more details.

• This is a 2 year course, students will need to re enrol for the second year.

Entry Requirements

Normally GCSE Grade C or above in Maths, English and a Science will be required. Other qualifications along with practical experience may also be considered as suitable such as a First Diploma. All applicants will need to attend an interview.
