students returning to education. Entry Requirements Four GCSEs at
Grade C to include Mathematics and Physics or alternative Science
based subject, or a BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate or Level 2
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. Students may apply for
certain exemptions from these requirements. Mature students are
encouraged to apply. Assessment Continuous assessment and end
examination. Learning Outcome Students are assessed on the units of
the course and each unit successfully completed as part of a
programme of study counts towards a student's award. All units are
assessed by a mixture of in-course and end of unit assessments.
Progression after Programme Higher National Certificate in
Mechanical Engineering. Additional Information The College offers a
vocational environment with access to specialised equipment, and
the expertise of well qualified and experienced staff at
Corporation Road who have close contacts with local industry.
