This course is for students who are already in employment as technicians within the engineering industry. This course provides a good base to develop into a multi-skilled engineer for a career in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.

There is an examination at the end of each year. The in-course assessment and the examinations contribute to the overall pass mark.
Entry requirements
4 GCSE passes Grades A-C including Maths, English and Science or BTEC First Diploma (Overall Merit - must include merit in maths). Mature entrants from mechanical and manufacturing industries may be accepted.
