If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

You then have a choice of further additional Mechanical Units:
• Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials
• Engineering Drawing
• CAD
• Further Mechanical Principles and Applications
• CNC
• Electro/Pneumatics/Hydraulic Systems and Devices
• Engineering Design
• Mechanical Systems
• Engineering Primary Processes
• Engineering Secondary Processes
• Welding Technology
• Mechanical Measurement and Inspection Techniques
• Commercial Aspects of Engineering Organisations
• Further Mathematics Entry Qualification: The selection of
candidates is at the discretion of the centre. It is preferred that
candidates have at least four GCSEs at grade C or above including
maths and science. Special Features: User friendly atmosphere. Use
of latest industrial software available. Support where needed.
Course Format: Units are taught in a classroom environment with
practicals where necessary. It is not considered a vocational
qualification. Progression: You could progress onto an HNC in
Mechanical Engineering or a degree in Mechanical Engineering
