How will the course be delivered?

You are assessed by producing a portfolio of evidence that supports your ability and competence to work with children and young people. Each learner will be assigned an experienced, qualified assessor to assess competency using methods verbal questioning, case studies and workbooks.

Course Entry Criteria

This qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards for Playwork and has been developed for Early Years practitioners who would like to broaden their knowledge and work in Playwork settings.

Delegates must have a current CRB certificate, be employed in a real work environment for a minimum of 10/ 16 hours per week. You must also have good levels of literacy and numeracy.

Learners must also hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification that covers the National Occupational Standards for Childrens Care Learning and Development and must be at least 18 years of age.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

CACHE Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork, (from Early Years) (QCF).
