Description

The qualification aims to allow candidates to develop the confidence, motivation, knowledge, and underpinning skills for a variety of roles in a school environment. It will also develop academic skills for progression towards a full level 2 qualification. This course is suitable for young people as well as adults already working in schools.

Entry Requirements

Prospective students will need to be interviewed. This will be arranged after the application form has been completed and returned to us. Learners will need have an interest in working in the sector and a level of literacy which is at or working towards level 2.

Delivery & Assessment methods

It will be internally assessed by a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE.

Progression

Progression to the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is possible. Common units will reduce the study requirements needed for the Certificate.
