Description
This course consists of the following:
Mandatory units include:
- Understand child & young person development
- Understand how to safeguard the wellbeing of children & young people
- Communication and professional relationships with children & young people
- Support learning activities
- Promote children & young people's positive behaviour
- Develop professional relationships with children, young people & adults
Students must have ALL of the following:
- Secure voluntary placement for a minimum of 12 hours per week
- English and Maths at a minimum of Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools CACHE Level 2 Certificate
- Enhance Criminal Records Disclosure (CRB)
