Course Level: 2 Time NeededStudents will attend 1 day a week for their Year 10 and 11 of school. For students starting in September 2012 this will be a Tuesday.
Lectures start at Bicton at 10.00am and will finish at 2.30pm.
Course DescriptionThe aim is to meet the needs of learners who work or wish to work in the agriculture industry and to allow the students to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment or career progression in the agriculture sector. We use naturally occurring opportunities on the estate and encourage involvement at busy times such as lambing and calving times.

- Tractor Maintenance and Operation
Functional Skills
You will also gain nationally recognised functional skills
qualifications (English, Maths and ICT).
The teaching of these subjects will be a combination of both theory and practical sessions.
Assessment strategies will consist of practical observations, written evidence, reports and presentations.
ProgressionSuccessful learners may progress to a full time post 16 Level 3 programme, Apprenticeship or employment.
All progression routes are dependent on the student reaching certain levels in Literacy and Numeracy.
