CCTV Operations Level 2 Award
This course covers everything required by a CCTV operator working in security or the security industry – maintaining security systems, set up incident reporting, handling evidence, and communication with the police.
From 2006 all security officers need to have been licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). This training course helps you to apply for your licence.
You study two modules which will include a common security module and a CCTV specialist module. You learn how to assess and reduce the risk of violence, identify behaviour that indicates an escalation towards violence, and communicate post-incident support.

to apply for your licence.

equipment and 2 multiple-choice examinations.
Learning activities include lectures role plays practical sessions
and group work.
The qualification awarded is the Level 2 National Certificate for CCTV Operators. In addition you will enhance your communication skills, self confidence and your ability to deal with conflict.
No prior qualifications required. Fully-funded training is available if you are currently unemployed and have been claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance for more than 6 months.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to apply for an SIA licence which will allow you to work in England, Scotland and Wales as a CCTV operative. You can further enhance your skills and employability by enrolling on our Level 2 course in door supervision
