Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry

Introduction

This site carpentry course is for you if you are preparing to work in the industry or already employed and need a recognised industry qualification. This course will help you to develop your existing skills and knowledge and introduce you to more advanced techniques.

What Will I Learn

This course will help to develop the skills employers in industry are looking for such as technical and practical skills, problem solving, numeracy, literacy, team working and communication.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments, theory assessments, external tests and a practical synoptic assignment.

Entry Requirements

You must have a minimum of four GCSEs including English and Maths, and show a genuine interest in site carpentry. Entry is also subject to an interview, basic skills screening, initial assessment and a Level 1 construction-related qualification.

Additional Information

You will also study a qualification in Functional Skills in either, Maths, English or I.T.. A course contribution fee of £50.00 will apply, this contributes towards an external trade trade-related trip, course textbook and course administration. You will

Upon successful completion, you may proceed onto the Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry.

Career Opportunities

You will be able to find full employment in the Carpentry and Joinery Industry as, for example, a site carpenter.
