ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This course is suitable for those who have achieved 4 passes at National 4 or equivalent. Applicants are expected to perform at an audition, where they will play music of their choice.

Please note: Students are required to provide their own headphones.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is aimed at developing the musical skills of students who have been self-taught or who have never received any formal tuition in music. The course content is sufficiently flexible to meet the interests of both pop musicians, and classical or traditional musicians. The course comprises of a range of subjects including: Music Technology, Performing Skills, Composition, Creative Project and Music Theory.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Coursework takes the form of essays, performances, written evidence, presentations and practical projects.

PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Students may progress to the NC Music SCQF Level 6 course.
