You will have the opportunity to develop and experiment with your creative approach to fashion and design. You will learn the technical skills involved in making garments, and about the fashion industry. During this course, you will also be able to improve your skills in English, maths and ICT. You will be based in our new, airy and creative centre for fashion, the Fusion Centre which is ideally located only a few minutes walk from the Bullring and the famous Birmingham RAG Market. You will learn from tutors who have worked in the fashion and textiles industry and they will help you develop a real understanding of professional working practices within the fashion industry. Fashion students get involved in many fashion shows and events both within the college and throughout the city. You will be able to have your garments walked down the catwalk at our sell-out end of your fashion show, and take part in our Rags to Riches competition in conjunction with the Birmingham Rag Markets and Harvey Nichols.
