Introduction

This qualification is a recognised qualification for those wishing to enter the Children and Young People’s Workforce in England and is based on the Skills for Care and Development National Occupational Standards (NOS). This course has a minimum credit value of 65 credits and covers the age range from birth to 19 years. This requires the learner to spend time in a real work environment. The Edexcel Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (QCF) has been approved as a component required for the Children’s Care, Learning and Development Apprenticeship framework.

What Will I Learn

How Will I Be Assessed?

Assessment is continuous, based on assignments, practical work and workplace performance.

Entry Requirements

Learners should be at least 17 years old and working in a supervisory role. For those learners who have no previous experience of working with children and young people, awarding organisations in partnership with CWDC recommend that 400 hours be spent in

Additional Information

It is the only QCF Level 3 qualification conferring occupational competence for the children and young people’s workforce in England.
