This course will help you build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years. You will learn about children’s development, safeguarding and communicating with children and families. The course will give you the skills needed to work unsupervised with children and young people, and to go into a supervisory job role.

You could progress on to the HND in Working with Children and Families at the college, the CACHE Extended Diploma for Children and Young People Workforce Level 3 or seek employment in a range of roles such as a residential childcare worker, a pre-school worker or a registered childminder.
