This course provides an integrated and complementary introduction to the study of communication and culture.What Will I Learn
You will study an introduction to Communication and Culture. It deals with the personal level of communication and your own experience of cultural products and cultural practices. The interaction between the individual and the broader cultural environment is a key area of investigation. The content of the two units is underpinned by a set of key concepts. These are Communication, Culture, Context, Representation, Value, Identity, Power and Code.Example Modules

How Will I Be Assessed?
You will carry out coursework throughout the programme and undertake a portfolio and final examination. These are weighted equally.Entry Requirements
You will require 5 GCSE results at Grade C or above, which must include English Language, are required.Additional Information
There will be 2 classes every week, each lasting 2 hours, plus additional study as directed by the course leader (up to four hours each week).Progression
This course carries UCAS points which can be used for progression to university.Career Opportunities
There are a number of careers you will be able to consider.
