The School of Humanities & Social Sciences welcomes enquiries and applications from those interested in full- or part-time study for an MPhil or PhD degree in constituent areas of the humanities and social sciences. Particular areas of strength, which were entered for the most recent Research Assessment Exercise, are culture, communication and media studies (including literary and cultural studies, English and performance studies), history, philosophy, linguistics, German, sociology, criminology and law. The School has state-of-the-art editing studios and equipment, and has good on-line and on-site library facilities, with access to the British Library and all London University Libraries.
Alternatively, students may prefer to embark on research in a particular field within the humanities by studying the Humanities and Social Sciences MA by Research programme or the Law LLM by Research programme.
