QA's ISO/IEC Overview Course

Purpose

This course provides delegates with a high level knowledge of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard itself, together with an awareness of both the qualification options for individuals and the certification options for organisations.

Target Audience

This qualification is aimed at staff working within an IT service provider organization that require a basic understanding of the standard. It is equally relevant for those staff working within service providers who may already be certified to ISO/IEC 20000 or those considering certification.

It is an ideal primer for those members of staff who may subsequently progress to an ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation course or simply as a means of awareness for those staff in an organisation who do not require more formal training in the subject.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites for delegates attending this course and no formal qualification is awarded to delegates completing the session.

Course Outline.

It is important to note that the course references the latest version of the ISO/IEC 20000 Standard available at the time of the course's launch; January 2013.

  • ISO/IEC 20000-3:2009
  • ISO/IEC 20000-5:2010

NOTE: No copies of any reference material are included as part of the course materials. Delegates may bring their own copies of the standard if they have access to one, but it is by no means a re-quirement as the Overview course, by necessity, only discusses these documents at a very high level.
