Who is this course suitable for?

The London based course training leading to this Certification has a wider scope than the Auditor training/Certification and is aimed at IT(SM) consultants and practitioners who wish to assist organisations to prepare for audit/certification.

What does this course cover?

In order to achieve the qualification, candidates must score at least 50% in each of the elements with a combined total of 65% or higher.

During the course, you will learn:

Day 1:

• Introduction and background to ISO/IEC 20000 Certification
• The certification scheme
• ISO/IEC 20000 Part 1
• Scoping

Day 2:

• ISO/IEC 20000 Part 2
• The use and application of ISO/IEC 20000

Day 3:

• Feedback, Review, Revision
• Examination (the day finishes around 17:30)

The Certificate is awarded to candidates passing the relevant examination, which can only be taken as part of an accredited training course. The examination consists of a single, 1-hour, "closed book" multiple choice paper and a 1-hour written assignment, which is also "closed book".

Are there entry requirements?

Candidates must hold the ITSM Foundation Certificate. Although it is not a pre-requisite, candidates who hold an ITIL Service Management Managers certificate will be at an advantage.

Highly experienced trainer Dr Geoff Harmer has over 29 years experience in the IT industry and has been awarded Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Certified in The Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) status. He is an accredited lecturer for ITIL with the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB), for COBIT with ISACA and for ISO 20000 with APMG (formerly itSMF). He is also an Associate Lecturer in Technology with the Open University (since 2000).
