You will learn the practical application of health, safety and food hygiene within our industrial kitchens whilst preparing and cooking food to a professional standard. You will study 16 units, some theoretical and some practical, which will develop your skills and knowledge in preparation for employment.Functional Skills are a mandatory part of the course along with a Level 2 Certificate in Food and Beverage Service.

You will need to exhibit a desire to work in a demanding environment, have existing skills and a real interest in food/cooking.Progressing students will need to have passed the Level 1 Introduction to Professional Cookery Diploma with most units at a minimum of Merit level.
