Using a range of music technology equipment and software, you will study a range of practical and theoretical activities covering the music industry, such as MIDI sequencing and software, sound recording techniques, studio production, the studio performance process, sound creation and manipulation, and multimedia sound production.Functional Skills also form a part of the course.
What does the course lead to?
You could progress to the HND in Music Performance or develop a career in the music industry.Entry requirements
A Level 2 Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject with a Merit profile, or four GCSEs at grade C or above including English (or a recognised literacy/communication qualification).Mature learners who do not have these qualifications may still be eligible, subject to an interview.
All applicants need to demonstrate an interest in and commitment to aspects of music. You will also be required to attend an interview and workshop.
