Multimedia BTEC National Diploma

The Extended Diploma in Interactive Media programme offers an innovative and creative opportunity to develop design skills for a whole range of multimedia outcomes. Areas of study include website design, graphic design, illustration, animation, 3D modelling, digital video and visual communications.

Description

The programme will develop a range of professional skills in industry-standard software packages, including: Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Lightwave, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Illustrator.
Functional Skills also form a part of the course.

Two years.

What does the course lead to?

Progression to a higher level of study (HND in Interactive Media available at Vision West Notts), or onto one of many related areas of work such as web design, games design, virtual reality.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have either a Level 2 Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject with a Merit profile, or four GCSEs at grade C or above including English (or a recognised literacy/communication qualification). Mature applications who do not have these qualifications may still be eligible, subject to an interview.

All applicants are required to attend an interview and to show a range of work that shows a passion and interest in either a design or computer based subject.
