Health and safety, workshop practice, advanced diagnostics on systems including vehicle electrics/electronics, engine management and transmissions, petrol and diesel, engines ignition systems etc.What does the course lead to?
Employment as a fully-skilled technician in the automotive industry.What can I go on to study?
There may be the opportunity to study at Level 4/5 on the HNC/HND in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with the possibility of a similar automotive qualification in the near future.Entry requirements
Successful and timely completion of the Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 2. Entry to Level 3 is not automatic and is based on overall performance on the Level 2 programme for current Vision West Notts students and references from students who have studied at other organisations.How much does it cost?
Free for those aged 16-18, £350 for those aged 19 or over.You will be expected to provide your own steel toe-capped safety footwear and overalls, as well as pens, notebooks etc.
