LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN LAND BASED TECHNOLOGY

Subjects will include:

Welding, metal work. Workshop practice and specialist machinery operation.

Vehicle layout and engine system principles. Hydraulics/Pneumatics

4 Wheel-Drive systems. Tool hire mechanisms

Mechanical transmissions

Learners will also study Essential Skills

How you will gain the qualification

Completion of a portfolio of evidence along with written / practical assessments and an electronic GOLA on-line assessment.

What qualifications you need

5 GCSEs at A*-C including English Language/Welsh and either Maths/Science or successful completion of a relevant level 2 qualification preferably at Merit level.

Prospective students will be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course.

If you have no level 2 qualification, you must have experience of working within Agriculture as well as 5 GCSEs at A*-C.

Entry requirements may be waived for mature learners, this is dependent on other qualifications and experience.

Enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

Where to next

Level 3 Diploma Learners may progress into employment or to related Higher Education Degrees and Foundation Degrees.
