On successful completion of this programme the applicant will gain the following qualifications:
· Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services Skills
· Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles
· Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English
· ERR Employer rights and responsibilities
· PLTS Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
The aims and objectives of this programme are to provide support in developing theoretical knowledge and recognise occupational competence.
How long is the course?
To complete the full Apprenticeship framework individuals are given 18 months.How will I be assessed?
You will be provided with an e-portfolio on the One File e-portfolio system. Within this system you will generate evidence through a variety of methods including:. Direct observation of your working practices by your assessor to cover the learning outcomes required for each unit.

.Multiple choice question papers/tests.
What will I study?
Framework components:Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services Skills
To achieve this aspect of the framework the apprentice will need
to complete units to a minimum credit value of 18 credits.
You will be required to complete the following mandatory units:
201 - Reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace202 -
Communicate effectively in the workplace203 - Develop yourself in
your job role
and either:
105 - Work with others to follow reporting procedures in a cleaning
environmentor
106 - Work individually and follow reporting procedures in a
cleaning environment
Plus optional units to provide the remaining credit
requirements.
Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles
To achieve this aspect of the framework the apprentice will need to complete the following 3 knowledge based units worth 10 credits, plus they will have to choose 1 optional unit worth at least 3 credits.
201-Dealing with routine and non-routine waste
202-Health and safety for the cleaning and support services industry
202-Working with customers and others in the cleaning and support services industry
Functional Skills English Level 1:
The apprentice will be required to complete two test papers (1 hour duration) related to:
· Reading· Writing
And complete 2 speaking and listening assessments.
Functional Skills Maths Level 1:
The apprentice will be required to complete one test paper (1 hour
30mins duration) related to:
Three functional mathematic process skills:
· Represent
· Analyse
· Interpret
ERR- Employer rights and responsibilities:
This will be completed through use of workbooks developed by Assett Skills (Sector Skills Council for Cleaning and Environmental Services)
PLTS – Personal Learning and Thinking Skills:
This will be completed through use of workbooks developed by Assett Skills (Sector Skills Council for Cleaning and Environmental Services)
What does the course lead to?
The programme supports progression to other courses including: Level 2 Award in Prevention and Control of Infection, Health and Safety, Manual Handling and First Aid.Entry requirements
You are required to be in paid employment in a cleaning environment which is relevant to your chosen qualification.You are required to be working at a minimum of Level 1 in English and Maths.
