Intermediate Apprenticeship in Cleaning & Environmental Services

This is a 12 month programme and all elements must be completed in order to achieve an Apprenticeship in Cleaning and Environmental Services.

This Apprenticeship is designed for people working within the cleaning sector and is suitable for those working as:

• Cleaning Operatives,
• Hygiene Operatives,
• Facilities Operatives and
• Window Cleaners

Apprentices could work in a variety of sectors including hospitals, schools, factories, offices, domestic premises and shopping centres.

Below are some of the areas that could be covered as part of the framework:

• Cleaning and maintaining internal/external surfaces and areas

• Dealing with routine and non routine waste

• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing supplies

• Cleaning food areas

• Cleaning high risk areas

• Following and reporting procedures in a cleaning environment.

• Deep cleaning equipment and surfaces

Framework:

• Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning & Support Services Skills

• Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles

Additional Mandatory Framework Requirements:

• Functional Skills in Maths, & English

• PLTS

• Employment Rights & Responsibilities
