This is a one year course that requires attendance for three days per week.How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by ongoing practical evaluation together with the production of a portfolio of evidence throughout the year which may include written, photographic and observational information.What does the course lead to?
Upon completion of the course you could gain employment within the horse industry or progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Work-based Horsecare.Entry requirements
This course is aimed at general assistants in the horse industry who are under supervision at all times and have completed their secondary education, as well as having an aptitude in literacy and numeracy.You must also be medically fit and able to complete physical tasks. It is preferred that you have at least 10 hours work experience with horses.
You must provide your own riding equipment and inform us of any past health issues.
