Why study with us?Multiprofessional Support of Learning and Assessment in Practice is available at levels 5, 6 and 7 for registered practitioners in the field of health and social care e.g. nurses, midwives, health visitors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, paramedics, radiographers and social workers.
There are start dates in January, March & September each year.

What can this course lead to?Successful completion of this module will enable you to undertake the role of mentor for pre-registration students in health and social care e.g. nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, social work.

Credit and UCAS requirements Credit: 20 credits Selection criteriaYou will need a student to mentor whilst you are studying on this module. You also require a nominated mentor from their practice setting, throughout the period of this course.
For nurses, midwives and health visitors undertaking the course, mentors must have undertaken one of the following approved courses post 1981:
- Three day assessor's workshop (pre-1990)
- Community Teacher's qualification
- ENB997 or 998
NVQ D32/D33 or A1 with mentor update - City & Guilds 730
- Cert Ed
- NST307 or equivalent / LIP307 or equivalent
- CDL801 Practice Teacher (or mapping to Practice Teacher standards)
HLLM5001 Multiprofessional Support of Learning & Assessment in Practice (20 credits at level 5)
HLLM6001 Multiprofessional Support of Learning & Assessment in Practice (20 credits at level 6)

This module is designed to develop your knowledge and skills to support the learning and assessment of students in practice, in order to develop in the role of mentor/supervisor. This allows nursing and midwifery practitioners to meet the theoretical standards for both mentor and sign off mentor standards.
