You already use digital media in your professional practice and are looking for ways to develop your thinking and creativity, primarily through exploring digital methodologies and techniques. You may also use digital media as part of your teaching or research and wish to explore contemporary themes surrounding digital culture in order to develop your professional career.
The programme of studies for our unique and flexible MA is based around a series of practical assignments. You may choose to focus on the medium in which you usually work or you may opt to experiment and develop using different media. This will be discussed and agreed with your tutor at the start of the course.
Your practical assignments will be underpinned with an in-depth understanding of subject-specific research methodologies and theoretical approaches enabling you to re-think, and re-articulate your thinking and approach to, your creativity, professional or research practice.
The structure of the course gives you an opportunity to share your work and ideas with practitioners who are working in other disciplines that are based on a common theoretical framework.
The unique flexibility offered by this course means that you will be able to ground your studies within your professional practice. We meet one day per week, in the late afternoon, in order to accommodate working professionals and individual tutorials are scheduled by negotiation.
