Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship in Equestrian
  • Level 2 Diploma in work-based Horse Care: either Horse Care, Horse Care with riding or Breeding (depending on job role)
  • Technical Certificate (1 of the below)
    • BHEST Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horse Care
    • EQL Level 2 Award in the Principles of Horse Care
  • Functional Skills Level 1 Application of Number
  • Functional Skills Level 1 Communication
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities

A variety of optional units are available depending on your job role and Level 2 Diploma.

CostAged 16-18

Fully funded

16–19 year olds are fully funded at charitable organisations on a voluntary basis working at least 30 hours/week.

Aged 19-23

Fully funded for employers with less than 1000 employees. For employers with 1000+ employees, please contact us for further details.

Aged 24 and over

Total People require employers to make a contribution towards the cost for all learners aged 24 years and over, embarking on an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship programme.
